Introduction
Welcome to OperatorCS.co.uk, the online platform for amusement ride operator assessments and certification, operated by Simple Training Solutions Ltd. By registering for an account, purchasing assessment tokens, or accessing any part of this website, you agree to the following Terms of Business and Terms & Conditions.
Definitions
- “OCS” refers to the Operator Competency Scheme.
- “Assessment” means the online multiple-choice test hosted on OperatorCS.co.uk.
- “Token(s)” means the credit purchased by users to attempt the assessment (3 tokens per purchase).
- “User”, “You” refers to any individual accessing or using the platform.
- “We”, “Us”, “Our” refers to Simple Training Solutions Ltd.
Eligibility & Use
- Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account and sit an assessment.
- The platform is primarily designed for individual operators. Larger organisations should contact the administration for bulk use options.
- You agree to provide accurate and truthful information when registering and completing your assessment.
Assessment Process & Certification
- Each purchase includes three attempts at the OCS assessment.
- Assessments are time-restricted and consist of multiple-choice questions based on the latest syllabus.
- It is the responsibility of the user to ensure they are using the latest syllabus during the assessment.
- Upon passing the assessment, users will have access to a downloadable PDF certificate, valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
- Any unused attempts become invalid immediately upon a successful pass and cannot be reused, refunded, or transferred.
- It is the responsibility of the user to ensure their data connection (internet connection) is sufficient to undertake the assessment. A drop out of connection will be treated as a fail, poor data connectivity will not be accepted as a reason for refund.
Token Expiry & Limitations
- Tokens are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- Expired tokens are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be reinstated.
- No refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including failure to complete the assessment or account inactivity.
Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.
- Your account is for personal use only. Sharing access or using someone else’s credentials is strictly prohibited.
- You must not engage in any fraudulent or deceptive activity, including but not limited to:
- Taking the assessment on behalf of another person
- Using assistance, cheat tools, or external aids during the assessment. You may have a digital or physical copy of the scheme syllabus during the assessment.
- Attempting to bypass the system by logging out or refreshing the page during an active attempt
- We reserve the right to suspend or permanently revoke your account and certification without notice if misuse is detected.
- Misuse may include but will not be limited to,
- Using a false or misleading account image
- Using a false or misleading account name
- Being under 18 years old
- Creating a parody account
- Creating multiple accounts for the same person
- Deleted accounts will not be refunded
Certification Verification
- Upon passing the exam, your certificate will be issued digitally via the dashboard and will include:
- Your full name
- Profile photo
- Date of issue and expiry
- Unique certificate ID
- The certificate may be publicly verified by third parties using the certificate ID via the Certificate Search tool on our site.

Syllabus Updates
- The assessment syllabus may be updated at any time. Users will be notified via email and/or the dashboard if changes occur.
- It is your responsibility to download and study the latest syllabus version before sitting the assessment.
- We do not guarantee prior notice of updates but will take reasonable steps to ensure fairness.
- The content of the syllabus is derived from health and safety guidance, national and international harmonised standards and other official sources of industry guidance and does not contain any material that has been specifically created for the OCS as such the OSC takes no responsibility for such sourced content. Responsibility remains with the content creators.
Payments & Security
- All payments are processed securely via Stripe.
- You will receive a receipt via email upon successful payment.
- We do not store or have access to your full payment information at any time.
Data Protection & Retention
- We comply with all applicable UK GDPR and Data Protection legislation.
- Personal data, including your name, photo, and assessment history, is securely stored and encrypted.
- Certificate data is retained for one (1) year following expiry to support future verification and auditing.
- You may request account deletion at any time. Upon deletion:
- Your personal data will be removed within 30 days
- Your certificate will remain in the system only until the legally required retention period ends

Support & Availability
- Support enquiries can be submitted via email to office@ocsassessment.co.uk.
- We aim to respond to all queries within 48 to 72 working hours.
- While we make every effort to maintain system uptime, we do not guarantee the availability of the platform at all times.
Limitation of Liability
- The platform and its content are provided on an “as is” basis.
- We make no guarantees of your ability to pass the assessment. It is your responsibility to study and prepare.
- It is your responsibility to ensure the certificate meets your needs prior to registering or undertaking the assessment
- We shall not be liable for:
- Any loss of income or business
- Missed deadlines due to certificate delays
- Technical issues outside of our control (e.g., browser or internet failures)
- Our liability is limited to the cost of the assessment package (£50).
Changes to Terms
- We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on the website with a revised “Effective Date”.
- Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
